Auditions are coming up for our upcoming production of Frankenstein 1930 on Monday, September 21st from 6-9 pm and on Tuesday, September 22nd from 6-9 pm at The Empress Theatre.

Victor Frankenstein: 20+, Mad Scientist
Dr. Hellstrom: 30+, Victor’s Old Professor
Henry Lovitz: 20+, Victor’s Best Friend
Elizabeth: 18+, Victor’s Fiancee
Aunt Frederica: 30+, Victor’s Aunt
Gorgo: 18+, Hunchbacked Servant of Victor
Berta: 18+, Maid in the Frankenstein Household
The Creature: 18+, Doesn’t Speak
Horst: 20+, Leader of the Townspeople
Jalna: 20+, Townsperson
Korda: 20+, Grieving Townsperson
Maria: 10-12, Young Girl
Mother (may double cast with Jalna)
Daughter (may double cast with Maria)
Grave Digger 1
Grave Digger 2 (may double cast with Korda)

From the Director, Jeremy Brailsford: Although actors ages 10 and up are invited to audition, the majority of the roles will be cast for ages 18+. Auditions will consist of cold reads for all roles EXCEPT The Creature. Auditions for The Creature consists of movement and acting exercises focused on physicality, emotional expression, and non-verbal storytelling. This show is a bit campy by our standards, and I want people to make big choices and not afraid to be silly! Accents aren’t necessary but always welcome. There are a lot of small roles. Casting may include different people for all those roles, so please be aware that there may not be a lot of stage time for those roles.
Frankenstein 1930 by Fred Carmichael and Mary Shelley will be performed at The Empress Theatre on October 23-25, 30, 31, and November 1.
